My aim as a luthier is to create stringed instruments that maintain and honour the traditional skills and values of the instrument making craft that are practised so little in the world today.
My guitars are made to be of longstanding value to the musical community for this and many generations to come. They are designed to have an unique personality of their own.
All Amos Guitars can be custom made to specific design requests including body and neck shape, cutaways, finish, tonewoods and hardware.
Every Amos Guitar comes with a good quality hard case.
Since begining my training in 1994 I have studied with many renowned luthiers and schools both in Australia and Ireland. These have included John Ferwerda Violins, Carson Crickmore Guitars, and Ben Puglisi Double Bass, as well as the Irish School of Lutherie.
In 2003 I established my own studio at my home in The Basin, Melbourne where I
craft my stringed instruments.
Workshop visits are very welcome and can be arranged via phone or email.
